The streets of the Edge are an evolutionary crucible that has given birth to a new type of human: physically, psychically, and socially distinct from the norm. These are what the unknowing commonly refer to as "Low-Lifes." They are capable of withstanding deprivations, humiliations, and adversities that would destroy normal humans and their soscial units. Like any nascent species, these people are yet vulnerable; but once they establish themselves, they and the cockroaches will be set to take over. |
